I am a relatively new Novocastrian, coming to Belair Baptist Church in 2012 as Senior Pastor in what I thought would be a short term Interim role. However, as happens, that evolved into the full time Senior Pastor position that I am in today.
Before coming to Belair I worked with the homeless and poor in inner Sydney with a great team at Hope Street and am committed to the Church being actively engaged with those who are lonely and forgotten in our City.
I love this Church and while we still have much learning and growing ahead of us, I think we “tick most of the boxes” about what a Church should look like. My passion is to help people enjoy being a part of a dedicated, loving and growing faith community through the building of authentic relationships, good teaching and training, opportunities to serve and living with a strong sense of the hope and life to be found in Jesus. I want our Church to continue to be a place where children and teenagers can equally thrive.
I am married to Raelene, a paralegal, and we have three adult children and four grandchildren. We love this new phase of our lives. I also love the Sydney Roosters, fishing and spending time with mates.
